Time to share some more information about the Global Government Summit held here in Luxembourg from today until April 11th.
Luxembourg will have the honour of welcoming around a hundred government representatives and delegations from Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America.
Also present will be officials and experts from leading international institutions, including the International Labour Organisation (ILO), the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD), the UN’s lead agency for international development and the World Bank, among others.
In addition, the summit will bring together major players in the social entrepreneurship ecosystem, represented by academic institutions and influential organisations such as the Marshall Institute at the London School of Economics, the Skoll Centre at Oxford University, and international networks such as Ashoka and CatalystNow.
This summit will mark a significant step forward: it will be the first official forum for governments from around the world to work together to establish a structured agenda. The main objective will be to strengthen synergies between nations and position social innovation at the heart of public policy in order to tackle the most pressing societal challenges.

Finally, this flagship event will be an opportunity to celebrate the official creation of an international body of high-level government representatives, the Global Government Council for Social Innovation (GCSI), which will serve as a driving force for structuring and amplifying public policies on social innovation.
The summit will culminate in the signing of the “Luxembourg Declaration” on 11 April 2025.
